The PAN-MASS CHALLENGE is an annual fundraising bike-a-thon that helps support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Each year, on the first weekend of August, teams of sponsored cyclists and individual riders pedal through towns and communities here in Massachusetts, supporting the fight against cancer—with every dollar collected going directly to research and patient care.
Of this year’s goal of $52 million dollars, $42,638,961 has been raised to date (August 15, 2021). Please consider a donation to help support the patients at Dana Farber! Consider supporting a team or rider each year! As this event is routed through our neighborhood, with thousands of cyclists flowing through our local streets, the Pan-Mass Challenge is a celebrated event here, with supporters and family members cheering the riders and teams --ringing bells, waving, and thanking everyone for their extraordinary efforts. The local farm animals may not feel the same level of excitement, while grazing in their pastures by the side of the road, but for the people here, it’s a very big deal indeed!
